Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry From the United States

NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August.  https://www.makorrishon.co.il/mumlazim/523585/ Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel each month. Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August saw 6,000.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that "it's so exciting to witness how tourism in Canada is recovering." We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at ease when they travel abroad.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists in 2019 including 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they have been vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
